Ah, the glory of guts...pumpkin guts. What kid doesn't like to experience that squishiness between their fingers? That would be mine. Niether Jack, Lexi, nor Sam touched the stringy mushy orange insides, but had no issues slopping in it with a spoon. Ah, well, less to clean up for me, right?
Each kid got their own pumpkin this year. In fact, so did the dog. We used the pumpkins we grew in our garden for carving. Jack and Lexi had a lot of fun watching each of the pumpkins grow and exclaiming whose was the biggest (it was Lexi's). Sam was oblivious to the growing part.
