Merry Christmas! We hope everyone had a joyous holiday. We decided not to travel for the holidays this year, and, although we missed our families very much, the kids were a lot less stressed and out-of-sorts from a long drive.
Jack kept a tally on how many presents made it under the tree (I think it was nearly 80). Jack, Lexi, and Sam are truly blessed (maybe spoiled?) by all of the gifts that they received from family and friends. Honestly, I probably could have gotten away without getting them anything this year! Todd and I kept emphasizing that Christmas isn't about the presents, but about the birth of Christ. I know that Jack, Lexi, and Sam love to turn the Advent ornament to hear the Christmas story and "light" the Advent candles in the Advent wreath.
So, with good tidings to all, here are a few snapshots of the Christmas Eve chaos.
